Drivers in PropDispatch are used to run loads using our mobile apps from either the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store. This section will show you how to add new drivers and update some of the information associated with those drivers

Adding a new driver


Below are roles that have the permissions to perform this action.

  • Admin
  • Dispatcher Admin (This is a special feature, please check with PropDispatch)
  • Dispatch
  • Supervisor


FYI: Drivers' can be assigned to multiple carriers at one time but can only accept one order at a time.

Step 1:

Click the driver icon on the left-hand side of the screen.


Step 2: 

Select "Add Driver." After selecting "Add Driver" you will have the option to enter the drivers' number.


IMPORTANT: When entering the drivers phone number do not add spaces between numbers.


Step 3:

If the driver already exists in the system his/her name will show up in the dropdown.


IMPORTANT: Do not create duplicate accounts for drivers, creating duplicate accounts may cause confusion for the driver.


If the driver does not already exist in the system, click the "Next" button to begin new driver creation



Step 4: 

Below is the necessary information that needs to be entered in for new drivers:

  1. First Name
  2. Last Name
  3. Phone Number (must be unique)
  4. Temporary Password (can be changed by driver once they log in for the first time)
  5. Email Address (must be unique)
  6. Notification Type: SMS, Phone Call, or Both (this is how the driver will be notified for load updates)


Some optional that is not necessary to enter in for new drivers:

  1. Truck Number
  2. Trailer Number
  3. Vendor Code
  4. Driver Code
  5. Track Interval
  6. Date of Birth
  7. License Number
  8. License Expiration
FYI: If the driver forgets their password this is also where you can change and update their password for them.


Step 5:

Once all necessary information is entered, click the "Add Driver" button to save.


Updating the boxes on a driver


If a driver tries to move a product with a wet proppant type into a dry sand box, they will be unable to procced until the boxes in their possession are updated to the correct proppant type.


Step 1:

Select the carrier icon on the left side of the screen.


Step 2:

Select the carrier name that the driver is under. After selecting the carrier, click on "Drivers" in the top left corner.


Step 3:

Searching for the driver can be done by scrolling or using the search tool in the top right corner. Once the driver is found, select the three dots under the Action button and click "Edit".



Step 4:

At the bottom of Edit Driver is " Box Number 1" and "Box Number 2". Update the box numbers to the new boxes and select "Update Driver"


FYI: To find a new box number that will allow a driver to be assigned a load, go to Box management in Box Settings.



Step 5:

The driver now has the updated boxes in their possession and is now able to be assigned to a load.
